Job Description
A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Islington is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils build strong foundations in Key Stage 1 while fostering a love of learning in a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the transition from EYFS
Have secure knowledge of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle or Read Write Inc.
Deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
