Job Description
BSU’s English department is looking for writing fellows to supports students in Enhanced ENGL 101 classes. Fellows will meet one-on-one with ENGL 101E students in the AAC, every week, typically for the following purposes:
to support them, if needed, in interpreting the writing prompt / criteria
to ask questions prompting them to plan and further develop and organize ideas
to give them feedback on their writing—with the primary goal of fostering their develop as writers (as opposed to maximizing their grade on the paper at hand, which is a secondary goal)
