About the Role As a WordPress Engineer at Kanopi Studios, you will build, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites that help our clients achieve their goals. You will collaborate closely with project managers, technical leads, designers, and other engineers to deliver performant, secure, and accessible digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support a wide variety of custom WordPress sites.
Build themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks (React/ACF).
Create templates and patterns that support Full Site Editing (FSE).
Write clean, maintainable, and performant PHP, JavaScript (React), and CSS/Sass.
Manage site configuration, updates, and technical support tickets.
Triage and debug unfamiliar WordPress sites quickly and effectively.
Use modern workflows such as Git flow, Composer, Docker, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines to manage deployments.
