Job Description
Experience an exhilarating winter as an AST 1 Instructor at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Facilitate memorable avalanche safety courses while fostering safe learning experiences outdoors.
Revelstoke Mountain Sports School desires skilled instructors for the 2026/27 winter season. Your primary role will involve leading AST 1 courses and implementing the Avalanche Canada curriculum effectively. Working closely with other staff, you will ensure all courses meet the highest safety standards and provide great learning for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead on-snow and classroom AST 1 training sessions
• Adhere to the established curriculum and safety protocols
• Contribute to developing and refining the AST 1 curriculum
• Coordinate with staff on logistics and equipment preparation
Requirements:
• Work eligibility status in Canada
• CAA membership in good standing
• Avalanche Operations 1 certification
• Prior experience in teaching AST 1 courses
