Nexstar Media Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Weekend AM Meteorologist who is ready to take on a high-profile role for DC News Now in the Washington, DC DMA (Market #8). The candidate must have a proven track record of weather forecasting and on-air presentation skills in a mid-to-large sized market and deliver the forecast with energy and professionalism.
The Meteorologist should thrive on breaking weather events and news and be ready to adlib and guide the viewer through the station’s coverage. This is a competitive news market covering a large geographic region across multiple states.
The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities – taking ownership of assigned shows, being a role model for the team and working to distinguish our forecasting in the market. The Meteorologist can expect to be involved in station initiatives and interact with the community.
