Volunteer as a Nature House Host at Stanley Park! Show your dedication to ecology by engaging with park visitors and sharing your knowledge about local nature.
In this role, you’ll serve as the face of the Nature House, assisting visitors by offering information on wildlife, plant life, and the park's ecosystem. Collaborating closely with the staff, you will not only enrich visitor experience but also expand your own public engagement and nature interpretation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors and present ecological information
• Foster engagement through interactive displays
• Answer questions from visitors while providing direction
• Promote park events and volunteer opportunities available
• Aid in organizing educational materials at the Nature House
Requirements:
• Keen interest in nature and ecology
• Enthusiastic communicator who enjoys public outreach
• Availability for two 3-hour shifts each month
• Must be 16 years or older
