Position Purpose
The Vice Shift Leader works as part of a team along with the Process Operators and the Shift Leader in a continuous process manufacturing environment. The Vice Shift Leader works in-process building along with the process operators and has the ability to operate the Human Machine Interface (HMI). As a Vice Shift Leader, you will fill in for planned or unplanned absences for the Shift Leader. The expectations are to ensure a safe work environment while delivering the maximum production quantity and the highest product quality. This is done by monitoring the HMI and adjusting settings to ensure that products transfer efficiently through the processing stages. At the same time, you will be supporting the policies, goals and objectives of VDC. The Vice Shift Leader works closely with the Shift Leader and assists with supervising the Process Operators on shift. The Vice Shift Leader will report to the Production Manager.
