Overview

The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals at the World Equestrian Center provides equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and small animal primary & urgent care services. This position supports clinicians in Equine services, assisting with examinations, nursing care, diagnostic imaging, anesthetic procedures, surgical preparation and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with examinations, treatments, and hospitalized nursing care for equine patients.
• Perform and assist with veterinary procedures including anesthetic inductions, recoveries, surgical preparation, and surgical procedures.
• Position horses in MRI and CT imaging units and operate diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Jog horses for lameness exams and perform equine rehabilitation tasks.
• Maintain efficient internal communication, organization, and charge capture.
