Job Description
Interior Health is hiring Casual Relational Security Officers in Vernon, ensuring a safe environment for all. Flexibility is crucial as shifts vary from 0 to 37.5 hours weekly.
In this role, you will enforce safety protocols, patrol premises, and respond to emergencies, including handling aggressive behavior. Work closely with the Supervisor, Relational Security, your focus is to maintain security through thorough monitoring and intervention. You will also document incidents and collaborate with health care teams to enhance workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct building patrols and monitor via camera systems
• Respond to emergencies, assessing situations effectively
• Investigate disruptions, utilizing non-violent resolutions
• Provide escorts and assistance to patients and staff
• Maintain logs of events and prepare reports
Requirements:
• No experience required; training is provided
• Strong observation skills and risk assessment abilities
