Overview
The Instrumentation or Valve Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of valves and/or valve-related instrumentation products. This role ensures equipment is manufactured to precise specifications and contributes to the overall quality and efficiency of production operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble valves, actuators, or pneumatic/hydraulic ESD units in accordance to work orders and specifications.
- Calibrate, test, and verify performance of completed units to ensure compliance with standards.
- Install and test valve accessories, including mounting and tubing connections.
- Disassemble units, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace components as required.
- Perform assembly preparation tasks such as cleaning and washing parts.
- Perform painting and touch‑up work requiring respirator use.
