Job Description

A utility personnel, also known as a utility worker or maintenance worker, is responsible for maintaining the functionality and appearance of facilities and surrounding areas. This involves performing a variety of tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and routine maintenance of both the interior and exterior of buildings and grounds. They ensure that the facility is safe, well-maintained, and in good working order.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED: Most employers require a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Some experience in maintenance or utility-related work is often preferred. Entry-level positions may not require extensive experience, but specialized roles might necessitate vocational training or an associate degree.
• Training: On-the-job training is common, but specialized roles may require vocational training or an associate degree.
