Job Description
A Class 4 Concrete Driver operates heavy vehicles to transport ready-mixed concrete from batching plants to construction sites. Primary duties involve safely navigating construction zones, precisely unloading mixed concrete, and ensuring the concrete remains workable within tight delivery time constraints.
Core Duties and Responsibilities Vehicle Operations & Transport Safe Driving:
Safely operate a heavy concrete mixer/cement truck on public roads and within confined construction sites. Route Planning:
Plan optimal routes to avoid traffic or low-clearance areas to ensure timely deliveries. Concrete Delivery & Handling Slump Checks:
Perform visual checks on the concrete slump (consistency) to ensure it meets customer specifications before pouring. Unloading Process:
Operate the truck's chute and mixing controls to precisely pour the concrete at designated job sites. Time Management:
