POSITION SUMMARY:
The Transportation Supervisor supports retail operations by managing the day-to-day execution of merchandise processing through the Distribution Network and ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound deliveries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manages the workflow of Receiving by assigning trailers to appropriate dock doors to maximize throughput, including BOL paperwork.Manages the Outbound workflow and dispatching trailers both retail and direct business unitsDevelops and maintains accuracy standards for deliveries and ensure PO’s are booked and maintained with high quality standards.Aligns with business partners to resolve issues and ensure efficient service that meet business KPI’s.Ensures dynamic staffing and training to meet company goals.Evaluates performance indicators to ensure SOP’s are executed, without exception.Effectively manages staff to meet productivity goals.
