Job Description and Duties
The Energy Research & Development Division deploys over $200 million annually to advance new scientific approaches and technology innovations to meet the state’s clean energy and climate change policy goals, including, but not limited to, the areas of renewable energy supply, building and industrial decarbonization, clean transportation, energy storage, energy distribution, resilience and reliability, and carbon management. The Energy Systems & Transportation Branch (ESTB) supports the development of emerging technologies to enable a clean, reliable, and affordable energy system.
