Position Summary ​

The Transportation Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating shipments according to customer instructions (SOP’s) and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with the hire of 3rd party carriers to execute both pick-ups and deliveries.

• Receive and process work orders received from LS operations team / system.

• Help to manage chassis agreements with each provider to ensure maximum profitability, in addition to providing chassis provider pre-alerts.

• Maintain carrier database with respect to providers, rates, expiration dates.

• Act as the first contact for carrier rate disputes
