Job Description
Transports patients to and from various units as directed, safely and comfortably. Picks-up and delivers materials and/or equipment as needed.
Job Responsibility
+ * Transports patients in wheel chairs or on stretchers to and from various units as directed.
+ Responds to page promptly.
+ Uses proper body mechanics during transfer and transport.
+ Transports patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, as directed.
+ Notifies staff upon arrival of patients.
+ Reports any changes of patient's condition during transport to charge nurse.
+ Ensures proper height is kept on I.V set-up when transporting patient.
+ Uses Radiology information System (RIS) when applicable.
+ Takes necessary steps to confirm patient's identity by checking ID bracelet.Does not transport patients without ID bracelet.Operates hospital elevator in necessary...
