About The Role
The Trainee Engineering Access Planner position at GB Railfreight is intended to offer an introduction into the Engineering Access processes and the engineering access publications that forge the delivery of engineering works on the rail network.
During the training over time we expect to develop a process that communicates disruption to GBRf stakeholders on all levels, to promote advance planning with GBRf planning teams and notification to customers. The role forms a key part within the long-term strategy of GB Railfreight’s Planning Team, which is at the heart of how our railfreight services are devised and operated.
Upon completion of your training (usually 12 – 18 months), you will have gained a thorough understanding of how a leading UK railfreight company works, particularly in the aspects of engineering work planning activities as well as understanding the challenges commercially of disruption to our services.
