About the role
Permanent position.
Working hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with one hour lunch.
Responsibilities
- Immediate line manager for drivers, allocating work, delivering instructions, monitoring progress, and checking completion at the end of the day.
- Handle any grievance or disciplinary matters.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and driver checks are carried out properly, striving for constant improvement and increased profitability.
- Manage people, keep accurate records, and deal with queries and problems.
- Apply knowledge of the Waste or Transport industry and good numerical skills.
Requirements & Qualifications
- National CPC and ability to use Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication (in person and on paper) skills.
- Friendly, approachable manner and great teamwork skills.
- Full driving licence essential.
