Traffic Management Specialist

Summary About the Position: Serves as technical expert on the safe and secure transportation and storage of all Department of Defense (DOD) domestic freight. Responsibilities Respond to inquiries from Transportation Service Providers (TSP), DOD installations, DOD Services/Agencies and other external contacts on a variety of traffic management issues/problems. Represent the Command and maintain liaison with a wide range of organizations to support customer requirements for domestic surface transportation services. Represent the command at meetings and conferences to include with transportation service providers; higher headquarters; other government departments and agencies; and professional associations. Prepare correspondence, interpretations, and clarifications for policy and regulatory actions.
