Therapeutic Case Worker - Homelessness Youth Assistance Program (HYAP)
· Maximum Term Contract until 30th June 2028
· Full-time 76 hours per fortnight
· Location: New England Region - Based in either Tamworth or Armidale
· This role is paid under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010- Level 5:1
The Opportunity
This role provides therapeutic case work support to unaccompanied children, young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The role is responsible for quality, trauma-informed, strengths-based services, while also undertaking complex casework, counselling, and family intervention to improve safety, stability, and long-term outcomes. The role focuses on strengthening family relationships, improving wellbeing and safety, building family capacity, and supporting young people to remain safely connected to their family, education, community and support networks.
