Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assists or conducts fire and general safety inspections, utilizing the State of New Jersey Uniform Fire Code as a guide.
+ Documents fire safety violations found and communicates these violations to the appropriate University department personnel responsible for correcting same.
+ Assists or follows up with the appropriate University department representatives to ensure all violations have been corrected within an established period of time.
+ Works with the Fire Safety Team on annual testing for all fire detection and suppression systems within the University system.
+ Follows up with the appropriate contracted vendor on any fire detection and fire suppression related deficiencies.
+ Collects, analyses and reports data about alarms and violations to assist the department.
