Technical buyer

Duties and Responsibilities: Source and procure engineering spares, technical equipment, maintenance materials, and production consumables. Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships. Interpret technical specifications and liaise with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure accurate purchasing. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement to maintain stock availability. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement planning and budgeting. Maintain procurement records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies. Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with inventory optimisation, stock takes, and procurement forecasting.
