Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator – SOCI 2P47, Racialization and Society

Compensation

• Undergraduate rate: $23.30 per hour (if no 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree)
• Graduate rate: $36.67 per hour (if hold a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree)
• Additional duties compensated at appropriate TA rate

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Prepare seminar material
• Student consultation
• Marking or grading
• Examination proctoring
• Attend lectures
• Hold office hours
• Course administration as required

Qualifications

• Master’s or Honours Degree in Sociology or equivalent
• Completion of the course with final grade of 75% or higher (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated teaching competence (prior evaluations)
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
