Teaching Assistant

Summary

We are looking to appoint a part‑time Teaching Assistant at Harris Junior Academy Carshalton to support individuals and groups of children to enable access to learning, contributing to a purposeful, nurturing learning environment.

The salary for this role will be £12,878.27 for 39 weeks per year, 18.75 hours per week.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Supervise and support identified children in 1:1, group or whole class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
• Assist in developing appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies, working with the teacher to ensure the provision supports each identified children's learning needs.
• Assist in evaluating identified children’s progress through agreed assessment activities.
• Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on children's achievement, progress and needs.
