Essential Duties
+ Assists in instructional activities as directed by the teacher- including direct instruction of students
+ May assume responsibility for class when teacher is absent/unavailable
+ Follows mobility, dining and direct care protocols as directed by the teacher or therapist and as noted on individual fact sheets
+ Assists with management needs of students, including performing duties related to activities of daily living, (toileting, diapering, washing, tooth brushing), dress/undress, put on/remove adaptive equipment, set up students’ learning environment
+ Carries out therapeutic goals within classroom activities as directed by and in conjunction with the therapist, includes systematic lifting and positioning of students and application and removal of equipment
