Role Overview
Full‑time Switchboard Operator at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. You will handle approximately 3,000+ calls per day and act as the first point of contact for both internal and external callers, including emergency calls, to ensure smooth operation of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Answer internal and external calls in line with agreed KPI and SLA targets.
- Provide efficient, courteous, and helpful support to callers.
- Operate the hospital's internal bleep system.
- Proactively maintain the computer database of hospital personnel, departments, and telephone numbers.
- Undertake clerical duties as required to support the efficient operation of the department.
- Support the delivery of a 24/7 service, including working public and bank holidays as required by the shift pattern.
