Job Description

Under indirect supervision the Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible to maintain working relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality possible of purchased components / materials with a focus on continuous imprevement. He/She establishes quality targets and goals to include quality cost reduction, warranty reduction and overall supplier ratin.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support determining the data driven top customer field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported weekly.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process.
- Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions.
- Recommend appropriate remedial activities.
- Visit suppliers to proactively see installations and document improvement needs.
- Visit suppliers to understand the nature of the issue and get definitive corrective action initiated in the organization.
