Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineer
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES: Regularly engage with manufacturing plants & distribution facility to resolve any supply disruptions
+ Utilize plant quality data to monitor disruptions, drive root cause and corrective action issues (8D process)
+ Manage and improve quality for electrical & mechanical commodities: Molded plastics, engines, hydraulics, castings, and metal fabrication.
+ New Supplier Assessments for purpose of providing input on sourcing decisions - Assess capabilities with respect to quality management systems, capacity & technology
+ Supplier Visits - Conduct metrics/corrective action reviews, assess processes & capabilities as well as strengthening supplier relationships
+ Train suppliers and hold them accountable to Tennant's supplier manual & expectations
