Summary This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Technical Operations Services, Operations Support Directorate, Spectrum Engineering Services Group, Spectrum Engineering National Security Team, AJW-1940. Responsibilities The Supervisory Aviation Technical Systems Specialist directs the work of subordinate employees for more than one organizational project/program within a major subdivision. Provides supervision over the Spectrum Assignments and Engineering Group. He/she oversees and leads the design, development, and acquisition of Radio Frequency Interference detection and resolution equipment and radio frequency assignment software tools and databases in order to maintain safe and efficient NAS operations. Uses experience evaluating and studying the National Airspace System (NAS) to direct staff in identifying and mitigating risks within the NAS systems and equipment.
