Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Operations Supervisor)

Summary Serves as a Front Line Manager (Operations Supervisor). Responsibilities Directs the work of subordinate employees at the organizational unit level providing first-line supervision to a team of FSS Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS). Work usually includes routine project/program tasks based on established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Managerial duties affect employees in one organizational unit, and include planning, assigning, setting priorities, tasks, and schedules; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; and taking or recommending corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate. Responsible for planning and directing operations within delegated areas of responsibility, some of which may be remotely located and require travel.
