Drive legal excellence in construction and real estate with your expertise as In-House Counsel. This role demands exceptional strategic legal guidance and risk management skills onsite.
As In-House Counsel, you will spearhead the legal function for our construction and real estate development initiatives. You need to provide high-level advice to executives, negotiate critical agreements, and ensure compliance with Ontario's Construction Act. Your leadership will also extend to mentoring our Law Clerk and overseeing diverse legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on construction and commercial matters
• Negotiate complex agreements and contracts
• Advise on compliance with the Ontario's Construction Act
• Oversee litigation, mediation, and external counsel relationships
• Supervise and mentor the Law Clerk while setting standards
Requirements:
• Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) in good standing
• 4–9 years legal experience in relevant fiel...
