Enhance procurement strategies with CMP as a Strategic Buyer. This role focuses on supplier management and material sourcing to support production in a leading manufacturing company.
CMP, one of Canada's most innovative companies of 2025, is seeking a Strategic Buyer/Planner. You will oversee the procurement process, manage supplier relationships, and ensure reliable material supply for production. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll contribute to strategic planning and supplier performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage supplier relationships; ensure document compliance
• Place and track purchase orders; manage stockouts
• Maintain supplier and item data in the ERP system
• Produce monthly forecasts and validate demand
• Collaborate with program managers on project impacts
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years in strategic supplier sourcing
• Proficient in ERP systems, preferably LN
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
