Role of Store Manager (Food Retail)
1. Store Operations
- Manage daily store opening & closing
- Ensure smooth operations of billing, service, and floor activities
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards (very important in food retail)
2. Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve daily / monthly sales targets
- Plan promotions, offers, and upselling
- Monitor sales reports and improve performance
3. Team Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff
- Manage shifts, attendance, and performance
- Motivate team to deliver better customer service
4. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels (avoid shortage & wastage)
- Check expiry dates (critical in food retail)
- Coordinate with suppliers for replenishment
