Every time a customer opens Prime Video during Thursday Night Football or an NBA game, dozens of systems have to publish the right broadcast, the right metadata, and the right test coverage behind the scenes before that stream ever reaches a screen. The Referee team builds the tooling that catches problems before customers do. Last year alone, our systems ran 350 million metadata verifications and tracked 34 million live event publishes end to end — work that would otherwise fall to a much larger team of manual operators.
