Sports Teaching Assistant

The large and successful school based in Wandsworth is looking for a Teaching Assistant/Sports Specialist to join them 5 days a week, as soon as possible! The school caters for students from 11 to 14 years old with SEMH, EBD and challenging behaviour. The school and staff aim to give their pupils the skills to move forward into mainstream education. The curriculum is highly personalised and creative, and we aim to develop pupil voice throughout all activities and lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist within the PE department.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students.
• Assist with communication needs and promote positive behaviour.
• Support students with physical and emotional needs.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting young people with special needs, SEMH/EBD.
