Job Description
**JOB SUMMARY:**
+ This position maintains modeling accuracy and operating reliability of various Distribution Operating Technologies, including Network Management System (NMS) and Distribution GIS. NMS serves as the “official switching map of record”, as required by federal regulations, as well as the platform in which customer outages are initially reported (Outage Management System or OMS). The Distribution GIS database serves as the asset repository for all power delivery infrastructure within the Georgia Power footprint and drives the creation of the network model. Georgia Power currently utilizes an Oracle-based NMS and ESRI ArcGIS technology.
