Job Description
Take on the culinary leadership role of Sous Chef at Horizon North, managed by Dexterra Group. This position requires a blend of cooking expertise and staff management on a convenient rotational schedule of 20 days on and 10 days off.
In this role, you will oversee kitchen operations, prepare high-quality meals, and implement safety protocols. We seek a candidate with at least ten years’ experience and a proven ability to train and motivate kitchen staff while demonstrating compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, present, and serve exceptional menus
• Lead kitchen staff in health and safety compliance
• Train and develop new culinary talent
• Ensure adherence to FOODSAFE and HACCP methods
• Perform inventory checks bi-weekly
Requirements:
• Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate is mandatory
• At least 10 years of culinary experience
