Sous Chef – Harpenden – £35,000 per annum plus bonus & tronc (approx. £7,000)


We are seeking a talented Sous Chef on behalf of a premium gastropub in Harpenden. The group offers an exceptional opportunity to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients within a structured, progressive company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in developing and executing high-quality menus.

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, stock control, and ordering.

  • Mentor and motivate the kitchen team to maintain high morale.

  • Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Requirements

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Competent Junior Sous in a gastropub.

  • Passion for fresh, seasonal produce and high-standard food execution.

  • Ability to lead shifts confidently in a fast-paced environment.
