Our Solid Waste Department in Alexander known as the Landfill is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This role involves a variety of hands-on responsibilities, including mowing, weed-eating, litter pickup, and emptying dumpsters at the convenience center. The position requires daily application of Posi-Shell, as mandated by state regulations, to help control wind-blown litter. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend shifts—typically working one weekend followed by two weekends off, depending on staffing needs.
