SMT Setup Operator

Job Summary:

The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Setup Operator is responsible for preparing and setting up SMT machines and related equipment for production runs. This role ensures accurate machine configuration, material placement, and feeder setup according to work orders and production schedules, enabling high-quality and efficient PCB assembly.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up SMT pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens according to job specifications and setup sheets.

Load feeders with components and verify part numbers, orientations, and quantities.

Perform first article inspections and verify setup accuracy using appropriate tools (e.g., AOI, magnifiers, calipers).

Assist with machine changeovers, adjustments, and minor maintenance to maintain uptime and quality.
