Job Description

Dexter Construction Company is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently looking for a Slip Form Paver Operator to join our Bedford, NS operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate a Slip Form Paver to build concrete roads, barriers and curbs
Prepare and adjust the paver’s molds and sensors to match project plans 
Adjust paving speeds and vibration settings to prevent gaps or uneven surfaces in the concrete 
Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that the machine is in safe proper working order
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
Ensure safety of fellow employees
Perform other duties as assigned
