Job Description
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Blasting/Mining or Civil Engineering
- DMRE Opencast Blasting Ticket.
- MQA Surface Rock Breaking Certificate. 01/07/2009 to 31/05/2017
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ drilling and blasting within the mining industry.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing drill and blasting teams, 40+ employees on shift system. Basic knowledge of Drill Rigs, specifically Sandvik Di550 and Di650
- Experience with the use of electronic and pyrotechnic initiation systems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Planning and detailed execution of plans.
- Safety driven, effective multi - tasking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in Blast map III Blasting Software
