We are seeking a diligent and mechanically inclined Shop Helper to join our team. This position involves working in the assembly and finishing department, focusing on detailed bench work tasks. You will be responsible for installing small pins into holes using specialized machinery and utilizing various tools and techniques on aluminum and stainless steel materials.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work in the assembly/finishing department, installing small 1/8 inch pins into small holes using a small machine.
+ Use graining techniques to finish metals, ensuring that all grains are in the same direction.
+ Straighten out aluminum parts, maintaining precision within +/- thousandths of an inch.
+ Apply honing techniques to finish aluminum parts.
+ Insert stainless steel threaded materials into aluminum blocks.
+ Place metal parts into a tumbler for a smooth finish.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work space.
