Responsibilities
- Effectively use personnel, material, and equipment to meet production cost schedules and maintain quality requirements.
- Participate in the development, training, and evaluation of hourly team members, building highly effective teams.
- Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes and support launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.
- Communicate department quality goals, maintain awareness of quality standards, and leverage resources to solve quality issues.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, union and management; understand and administer National and Local Agreements between GM and the UAW.
- Implement and follow systems that prevent recurrence of known issues; promote safe work practices and achieve ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping objectives.
