About The Role
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring full SHE compliance, including COMAH and environmental permitting, while shaping the site’s long‑term safety strategy. You’ll act as the site’s SHE expert and leader, influencing at all levels—from shop floor to senior leadership—and acting as the key point of contact with external regulators.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain the site’s licence to operate, ensuring compliance with COMAH, environmental permits and SHE legislation
- Act as the main point of contact for external regulators and auditors (e.g. HSE and EA)
- Lead and develop the site SHE team, including coaching and capability development
- Drive continuous improvement across process safety, occupational safety, health & well‑being, and environmental performance
