Senior Strategic Planner

The Senior Strategic Planner will play a key role in delivering Council’s Strategic Plan for a growing region. They will bring strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, along with an understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the development, coordination and delivery of strategic planning policies, plans and projects aligned with Council’s long-term vision.
• Overseeing assessment and determination of complex and controversial planning proposals, providing expert advice and sound strategic judgement.
• Guiding and mentoring junior team members while ensuring effective workload management, legislative compliance and robust decision-making across the team.
