Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Interfile is a leading South African FinTech company delivering enterprise-scale electronic payment and transaction solutions to financial institutions, corporate organisations and government departments. The role is a Senior Software Engineer in the Development team. This is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing and modernising enterprise software solutions while providing technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team. This is a hybrid role with three days per week at the Magaliessig office and two days remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable and high-performing enterprise software solutions.
• Lead the modernisation of legacy Java platforms to containerised, cloud-native architectures.
• Drive DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and secure software development.
