Senior Mining Engineer, Open-pit Mine

Summary of responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Surface Mining Engineering Coordinator, the incumbent will be involved in all phases of evaluation and development of local and international open‑pit mining projects. More specifically, he or she will be called upon to:

• Contribute to the gathering and compilation of data to bring projects to the construction and operational stages.
• Participate in the preparation of economic studies, including the drafting of NI 43‑101 technical reports for preliminary, pre‑feasibility and feasibility studies.
• Take part in the selection of appropriate equipment for mining projects under study.
• Contribute to the preparation of operational budgets and economic evaluation of projects.
• Design plans and technical drawings in accordance with project specifications.
