About the Role
TransAlta is currently hiring a Settlements Analyst, reporting directly to the Supervisor – Settlements. This role's main accountabilities are invoicing, remittance and payments for our Energy Trading & Marketing (ETM). We seek an individual eager and ready to learn about our business and processes.
Position is based out of our Downtown Calgary Head Office, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
A Day in the Life
- Ensure all settled trading activity and settled Counterparties /Pool related activity is invoiced/paid by specified deadlines – scope of work for ETM includes TransAlta’s Power Pools.
- Ensure all cash is cleared and reconciled by counterparty for the Accounts Receivable aging and Accounts Payable reporting.
- Work with credit, cash management, accounting, and AP groups to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.
