Senior Mechanical Engineer

Merrick & Company’s Nuclear Services & Technology team provides full service nuclear design solutions to the federal government (DOE, NNSA, and NIST), nuclear research, and nuclear medicine. Merrick is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Mechanical Engineer to support our operations in our Aiken, SC or Oak Ridge, TN office.

The successful candidate will design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping system for a variety of facility projects. Tasks include developing design calculations, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment selection and layout, ductwork and piping sizing and layout, support of project proposals, interdisciplinary coordination and participating of QA/QC process. Part time efforts will be devoted to site inspection and construction administration. This position is primarily a leadership role and will be part of a design team environment.
